Landsat
Landsat.org, an affiliate of the Tropical Rain Forest Information Center (TRFIC), now hosts the Global Orthorectified Landsat Datasets for three epochs: 1970's MSS, 1990's TM, and 2000's ETM+. Free access to these data is available online.

london.data.gov.uk is the data store for London, run and maintained by the Greater London Authority. This data store aims to make data available to the public in easy formats.
Data is available in csv format with ward information where appropriate. Too many datasets to list here, please look at the list on the site.

Marine Irish Digital Atlas (MIDA)
The Marine Irish Digital Atlas (MIDA) provides a single source where people interested in coastal and marine information can visualise and identify pertinent geospatial datasets and determine where to acquire them. MIDA offers both digital geospatial data and information, incorporating text and multimedia elements, related to coastal and marine resources in Ireland. Integrating the latest advances in web-based mapping techniques, the atlas is built around an interactive map, which allows anyone to identify, visualise, and query those datasets relevant to their interests.
The atlas displays data layers from numerous coastal and marine organisations both within Ireland and abroad, thus providing the best single resource for finding and viewing existing Irish coastal and marine data.

NASA Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS)
EOSDIS is the centre piece of NASA's Earth Science Enterprise (ESE). Its many satellites produce a large amount of data and this is available to purchase via the Nasa EOS Data Site.
Subscription is optional but offers more services.

National Biodiversity Network
The national Biodiversity network holds over 300 datasets mapping the distribution of various species across the UK. Data can be searched for by location or by species giving the user flexibility when searching. Users are encouraged to help maintain the network by supplying data for validation. Watsonian Vice County boundaries of Britain are also available and can be provided on CD ROM.

National Digital Archive of Datasets (NDAD)
The National Digital Archive of Datasets (NDAD) provides online access to archived digital datasets and documents from UK central government departments since 1963. Documents and data cover broad themes such as health, education, housing, crime and the environment.
Registration is not necessary but offers extra features such as saving display settings and a more rapid ordering service.

Natural England
Natural England, formerly English Nature, has a wide range of datasets available for free download. These include:
* Ancient Woodlands (by 100km)
* Environmental Stewardship
* National Nature Reserves (by 100Km)
* Ramsar sites (by 100Km)
* Special Areas of Conservation (by 100Km)
* SSSI Unit (by 100Km)
* Special Protection Areas (by 100Km)
* Sites of Special Scientific Interest (by 100Km)
In addition there are a number of national datasets of landcover and conservation designations. Registration is required but all data is free.

NOAA Observing System Architecture (NOSA)
The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) provides access to their marine and environmental data through the NOSA service. Access to data can be gained through the map interface via an Open Geospatial Consortium Web Map Server (OGCWMS). Data from NOSA can now be integrated into Google Earth.

Ordnance Survey (Great Britain)
Ordnance Survey is the National Mapping Agency of Great Britain and maps the infrastructure of England, Scotland and Wales. They have many data products for sale and distribution including:
* Mastermap
* AddressPoint
* CodePoint
* Meridian
* Integrated Transport Network (ITN)
They also host the free 'Get-a-Map' service.
UK Academic users with ATHENS accounts wishing to access OS products can do so through the Digimap Portal rather than requesting data from the OS directly:

Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSI)
The National mapping agency for Ireland offers a range of products including:
maps
* Aerial Photography
* Land Registry Compliant maps
* Environmental reports
* Wind maps
In addition to this, they also provice a customisable map service, PLACE which allows users to request data centered on their point of interest and at a suitable scale.
