Prof. Paul Boyle moves to ESRC
The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills Vince Cable has just announced that Professor Paul Boyle of the University of St. Andrews as as Chief Executive and Deputy Chair of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
Paul took a chair at St. Andrews in 1999 and has been the Head of the School of Geography and Geosciences for some time. He has been involved with large ESRC funded projects and was Director of the Longitudinal Studies Centre - Scotland (LSCS).
Everyone from EDINA wish Paul well with his new role which should further strengthen the opportunities for the UK's social science community to undertake world class research.
