ESRI ArcGIS 10 available for download

CHEST customers will be able to download ArcGIS10 shortly. These sites will also receive a DVD at a later date. Each site will be sent an email with instructions about how to download, we expect to make this available to CHEST sites in mid July. It is up to each site whether it wants to make use of the download facility to access the software or wait until they receive the DVD.

What's New in ArcGIS Desktop 10


There are many great enhancements in ArcGIS 10 Desktop which can dramatically increase your productivity and efficiency in your everyday work. This session will focus on some of the key areas including the new editing environment and workflows, managing and processing imagery data, making the map time aware and using the new tools for cartography and generalisation to make better maps.

ArcGIS 10: What's New for Developers and the Web


This technical session will provide an overview of the developer options which are available at ArcGIS 10. Within ArcGIS Desktop GIS professionals will have the ability to write python code within the application, while the GIS application developer will have the ability to create either Java or .Net components via "Add-ins". ArcGIS Server developers can now take advantage of new functionality within the Web APIs - especially the new editing functionality which will be highlighted in this session.

ArcGIS Mobile 10 and ArcGIS.com


ArcGIS 10 expands upon the mobile capabilities from previous releases. As well as enhancements to the existing ArcGIS mobile application, a new tablet application has been introduced that is designed to run on windows operating system. Furthermore the portfolio has expanded to the iPhone in the form of of out of the box application and an SDK for developers.

ArcGIS.com is the new platform for accessing, sharing and creating online data content. Find out how this works and see the new online version of ArcGIS Explorer in action. Also discover about ArcGIS capabilities for running applications in the 'Cloud'.
