 Go-Geo Help – My Go-Geo! Account / Login to Go-Geo!

 

Introduction
My Go-Geo! or "Login" on the Go-Geo! Home page is a service for registered Athens/Shibbolith users of the Go-Geo! website allowing a certain amount of customisation and access to extra services and localised Institutional search nodes. You must have a Athens/Shibbolith authentication to access this part of the site.

Logging in to My-Go-Geo!
You can activate your My-Go-Geo! session by choosing the "Login" button on the top navigation bar of the Go-Geo! Home Page (see Image below) - or it will start automatically when you come into the "Metadata Creator Tool" via Athens/Shibbolith authenticated login.

My-Go-Geo! options & Navigation
Once you have logged in to the My-Go-Geo! you will be presented with the main page (see Image below). The greyed out "login" button on the top main menu navigation bar will also now be while illustrating your logged in status. The My-Go-Geo! is split up into 4 tabs: 'Personal Information', 'Alerts', 'Preferences', and 'EO (Enquiry Organiser)' - each of these is described below:

Searching Local Institution/ Private Nodes via My-Go-Geo! for locally held data
If your Institution has created one, you will also be able to login to the my-go-geo! section to search for metadata created and saved privately in local nodes. Once you have logged in, and then go to "Advanced search" these 'Nodes' should then be visible under the 'Go-Geo Network', you can click on these to limit a search or include in a search metadata records created locally or privately.
