Go-Geo Help - Supplying Metadata
Introduction
Do you have material that is or could be spatially referenced? Would
you be willing to share it with others?
If the answer is yes to both of these questions, then the Go-Geo! team need your metadata: information about your material and how to gain access to it. Go-Geo! aims to make data discoverable so that users can share data. In order to achive this we have set up Geo-Doc which is tool that allows you to submit and archive metadata. This metadata could be archived for just your personal use, or so that others can discover it. We have made the process of submitting metadata as simple as possible and the process is unlikely to be as time-consuming as you might think. In addition, there is a member of the Go-Geo! team dedicated to supporting you in the creation process. Contact Tony Mathys for more information or to try to arrange a Go-Geo! workshop at your academic institution.

The Metadata Creation Tool
Geo-Doc can be accessed by clicking 'Tell Others
About Your Data' Supply Metadata button on the Go-Geo! home page. This
is located on the right, in the Red
panel section.

Supplying Metadata
Once you have logged in, the Geo-Doc tool will take you through the
process of creating, editing, exporting and publishing your metadata
records. This process is pretty straight forward and you can choose
different levels of security to determine who can discover and view
your metadata. All the meta data you create will be stored in your
account, providing an easy way to manage and backup your metadata.
